Into the Badlands is a show with a lot of slashing, stabbin’, and excitement. We’re going to be taking you through it like we’ve never done before. With this “On Set” series, we have an arsenal to pull from and we have footage from every scene. I’m going to go into the whys, the hows, and all of the theories and everything in between.

We’re going to begin with the call sheet and pre-production on Into the Badlands. On feature films and TV shows, you want to be able to shoot every moment. Pre-production shooting is a huge part of properly scheduling everything so that you’re able to shoot every scene. The whole team gets going, everyone preps camera packages, the grips get their gear lined up, wardrobe gets ready, makeup preps, costume preps, the production design gets all lined up. Everyone works hard to get ready for day one because pre-production doesn’t cost as much as a full day of shooting.
