• Multiple images to explain the execution, actor blocking and lighting motivation
• Setting up your Key Light
• Choosing Diffusion
• Better the Close Ups
• Fill Light
• The Execution (video)

Lighting for three cameras is never my first choice. I trained under cinematographers that were single camera. It was the way they lit, and their style was based on this execution. I love lighting for one camera but with the reality of feature and TV schedules, this is hardly ever an option. So I am giving you some pearls of wisdom that has taken me over 20 years to master. This is a playbook for all your lighting set ups whether you are shooting with three camera or single camera coverage.

Great Post! Can’t get enough of these kinds of tutorials. Love the way you walk through each light and the effect/mood that it gives for each camera shot.

I actually really like the way the two lights look on you at 13:00 hitting you from both sides. Cool. This has been a very thoughtful and well explained post! Really thankful to you.
