Doug is extraordinary with strategy and has an amazing instinct that gets to the heart a matter in a very efficient way. He is filled with ideas and suggestions for improvements. Doug is easy-going, intuitive and keeps us all on track with his questions. As Senior Vice President, Business Development, Doug Leigh manages a wide range business matters for Hurlbut Visuals. His responsibilities include overseeing and streamlining the company’s technology partnering agreements; vendor and sponsor relationships; and production arm.  Leigh is also an accomplished still photographer and is adding motion work to his portfolio with the advent of the DSLR revolution.

Leigh has retired from the practice of law where he handled legal affairs for technology and entertainment clients for more than 16 years. As divisional general counsel at General Instrument in the nineties, Leigh became well versed in the field of consumer electronics.

More recently, Leigh served as senior vice president and general counsel to Musicmatch where he managed the company’s equity financings, contracts, licensing and distribution agreements in the music industry. Before that, Leigh served as executive vice president and general counsel for GameSpy Industries, where much of his time was spent licensing technology solutions to game developers and publishers and headed their human resources department. Prior to GameSpy, Leigh was senior vice president and general counsel for eAssist Global Solutions, a provider of management software solutions.

A graduate of Harvard University, Leigh earned his degree with honors in Engineering and Applied Sciences before attending the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. Leigh is also a lover of music and all water sports. When he’s not on set or at the office, Leigh can be found trekking the Himalayas or with his family at the beach.
