Hi Shane!
I’m watching/studying Act of Valor and I’m really curious about some scenes with out of focus issues.
For example, the conversation with Christo on the Starship/Yacht – the eyes of master chief is clearly
out of focus (a bit too much for my taste). Was this intentional or what?
Would love to hear your thoughts on this – or those of anyone involved in that production.
Best regards
Patrick
Patrick, this was all done on purpose, The emotions of Christo was he had no where he could go, trapped, so I wanted you to feel claustrophobic, to feel penned in, no escape, you were squirming for it to be in focus.
Wow!
I’m really impressed by that creative decision.
I would never dare do something like that myself, from fear of people
“dropping out of the story” because they thought something was (technically) wrong.
Thanks for the explanation, Shane! I learned something from that! :D
Best regards
/P
